Our Opportunity

Duties

Weldlok are searching for an Junior Draftsperson to join the team! The position is a full-time opportunity, based in Belmont, WA. Other daily duties will also include:

Liaising with customer service/sales and customers to ensure product supplied is manufactured correct to customer requirements
Complete detailed drawings of current and proposed NBI products
Present drawings with all required notes, measurement with tolerances where applicable and details in accordance with AS 1101
Liaise with all relevant parties through the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning phases
Present full detailed cutting lists for production fabrication
Work with Customer Service, Scheduler and Production teams to develop a production schedule which promotes the most efficient operations and meets the needs of customer lead times.
Continuously foster, develop and enhance workplace relations and staff morale.

The Right Person

Ideally, this role is suited to an experience draftsperson with experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment, who previous experience in a trade, engineering or estimating position.

Certificate IV Engineering Drafting or equivalent.
Previous experience in the steel industry or in a manufacturing environment highly regarded
knowledge of MS Office
understands basic engineering practices
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role would be an advantage
