Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. This role involves working on a variety of construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

· Study and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the materials, dimensions, and installation methods needed

· Choose and order the right types of timber and materials and create detailed layouts for construction projects

· Cut materials accurately and assemble parts by nailing and shaping them to the them to the specified designs.

· Build frameworks and roof structures, install sub-flooring and floorboards, and ensure all structures are level and true.

· Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, and exterior wall cladding, along with fitting door and window frames.

· Assemble pre-cut wood pieces to create various structures and fittings, making them ready for installation.

· Accurately cut wood joints for different structural components.

· Build concrete formwork as required for various construction projects

· Repair and maintain existing fittings and fixtures when necessary.

· Work with a range of materials such as plastic laminates, perspex, and metals.

· Work closely with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Carpenter with a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience.

· Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.

· Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.

· Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

· Strong attention to detail and precision in work.

· Good physical condition and endurance.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
