We are seeking a trade qualified carpenter to join our fast growing team.

As a carpenter you will construct, erect, demolish, install, fit-out, finish & repair wooden & steel structures and fixtures on residential & commercial buildings. This may include but not limited to general carpentry, framing with timber & steel, cladding, tiling, general fit outs & demolition work.

Duties –

* Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

* Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements

* Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items

* Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible

* Assemble & install furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items

*Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance

Requirements –

You will have wide general experience in the carpentry trade (usually at least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience). Including knowledge and experience in the current building practices & Building Code of Australia.

You will have a suitable trade certificate in the building trade group such as carpenter or carpenter/joiner. Additional courses and/or training in the industry are an advantage.

Must have experience working with a small crew of carpenters and apprentices, and be able to work alone if necessary.

You will have successfully completed a nationally recognised construction industry safety induction unit and hold a current white card.

You will be willing to undertake further training within our organisation including but not limited to

_ Competency to work safely at heights.

_ Mask Face Fit Testing

_ Working with/Removal of products containing asbestos.

_ Under take required Police Checks

_ Required site inductions & online training.

You must be fit & healthy, with a positive can do attitude and be able to ask for help when needed.

The right candidate will be able to think on their feet and understand how to work efficiently & safely.

Must have a current manual driver’s licence and be willing to obtain MR or HR class licence if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,150.00 – $75,000.00 per year
