Our client, a large QLD Government department, is seeking to engage an experienced Project Manager to promote best practice disciplines across a range of project management processes and functions, to optimise performance and ensure effective delivery of the taskforce outcomes.
About the Role
As the Project Manager, you will be required to promote best practice project management discipline across a range of project management processes and functions to optimise performance and ensure effective delivery of the taskforce outcomes. You will ensure coordination between all roles, streamlined communication, effective management of timelines and budgets and will ensure appropriate governance, planning and scheduling is in place.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate project activities to deliver the required outcome within the project budget and timeframes.
- Produce required project (taskforce) documentation in accordance with business policies and procedures within an Agile, PRINCE2 and governance framework.
- Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are in place for the taskforce.
- Develop and implement communication plans, organisational change management plans and benefit realisation plans where necessary.
- Liaise closely with all project stakeholders including Taskforce Executives, Taskforce Board Members, Senior Users, Senior Suppliers as well as Senior Management and other Project Managers.
- Provide effective management of risks, issues, conflicts, change requests and priorities.
- Manage the project budget and finances.
- Develop and maintain taskforce workplans and schedules.
- Track taskforce resource allocations.
- Provide project support and direction to the taskforce lead.
- Timely and accurate reporting on the progress of the taskforce to required stakeholders.
- Ensure taskforce administration activities are undertaken in accordance with internal governance and compliance practices.
- Recent experience in delivering projects in a complex agile environment.
- The role may have quarterly Key Performance Indicators to maintain.
- Current and varied experience across public and private sector is highly desirable.
- Experience in delivering the project activities within a dynamic and changing taskforce environment will be highly regarded.

8 Hours/day - 40 Hour working week.
