About The OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Project Risk Lead to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) delivery team based at the Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.
Reporting to the Program Risk Manager, the Project Risk Lead is responsible for coordinating and managing the appropriate risk and opportunity management processes for use within a specified project.
This position provides support in:
- Assisting IPT team members to deliver the cost, schedule and performance objectives of HCFP
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate R&O management practices within the IPTs
- Assisting the Risk and Opportunity Lead to deliver overall program R&O objectives
- Ensuring appropriate mitigation and fallback plans exist for identified IPT risks
- Maintaining the currency of information in the R&O toolset for the IPTs
- Providing R&O management and toolset training within the IPTs
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Suitable risk management advice is provided to IPTs to deliver the cost, schedule and performance objectives of the Hunter Class program
- Risk contingencies associated with the IPT are forecast and managed
- Successful program gate/phase reviews, integrated baseline reviews and estimate to complete (EAC) costings in relation to R&O requirements are completed
- Information in the R&O toolset is kept up-to-date
- R&O reviews and workshops for the IPTs are successfully coordinated and documented
- Advice and guidance on risk management is available to IPT team members in a timely manner
- Risk management and toolset training is provided to IPT team members in a timely manner
- Cost and schedule risk analysis (monte carlo) is undertaken as required
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (desirable, but not essential)
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, with emphasis on project risk management.
- Capability to identify and solve complex problems, think critically and innovate
- Proven ability to partner with and motivate individuals / teams across a number of business areas, to shape and implement business requirements.
- Risk toolset knowledge desirable.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Current Baseline Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
