We have partnered with a leading and innovative fitout head contractor based in Melbourne who is seeking a talented and experienced Site Manager to join the existing team.
They have continued to grow over the past several years through sustainable business based on their outstanding reputation in the market. Operating across all sectors including education, government, medical/science, aged care, sports/leisure, and community fitout projects up to $15 million in value.
As a Site Manager, you will report to the Construction Manager and work collaboratively with the Project Manager and Contract Administrator, playing a crucial role in delivering projects in line with construction programs, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively coordinating sub-contractors, site labour, and trades to meet project deadlines.
- Programming project works and achieving critical path milestones.
- Monitoring and managing the progress, budget, and work quality of sub-contractors to ensure adherence to required standards.
- Reading and interpreting construction plans.
- Providing monthly progress reports and maintaining regular communication with the Construction Manager and Project Manager regarding project status.
- Managing quality control and workplace health and safety on site, including inductions for new personnel.
- Negotiating with suppliers and managing material orders.
- Building and maintaining positive client and stakeholder relationships.
About you:
- Trade or building-related qualification with practical trade experience.
- Proven knowledge of the construction process and at least 3 years of experience effectively managing programs and subcontractors.
- Experience in delivering general commercial office fit out & refurbishment projects ideal.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the highest quality finish.
- Organizational skills, self-motivation, and a strong team-player mindset.
- A passion for maintaining safety and quality standards on-site.
