About The Women's Capital Development Program
The Women’s Capital Development team is the latest addition to the directorate. The team lead, inform, and manage the Women’s effective participation in the end-to-end project lifecycle of the expansion of the Royal Women’s and Royal Melbourne Hospital capacity on the Parkville Site as part of the Parkville Precinct Redevelopment Project. The team will also lead and support the development and implementation of safe, high quality and evidence-based models of care for women and newborns, to inform design and in preparation for commissioning of the Women’s services. In addition, the team will support the Women’s engagement in other associated capital development projects as required.
About The Role
As a Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Director, Women’s Capital Development Program, and utilise your project management discipline, business acumen, problem solving and engagement skills to ensure the Women’s successful participation in the Parkville Precinct redevelopment project, along with other projects within the Women’s Capital Development Program.
You will have a strong understanding of the health system and hospital environment will be used to facilitate innovative thinking and the identification of opportunities to optimise service models, staff and patient experience and patient outcomes.
A Regular Day Will See You
- Working with clinical teams to define and document models of care
- Developing specifications and design requirements for the project
- Identifying and facilitating the resolution of complex operational and design issues
About You
You’ll bring with you:
- Strong understanding of and experience in the healthcare environment and health services/hospitals, including an understanding of health service delivery objectives
- Significant demonstrated success in health management, project management and/or business improvement roles, including hands-on project management leadership
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and work collaboratively with a wide range of people
- Demonstrated capability to lead problem solving, confronting and resolving issues to ensure effective decision making
- Demonstrated ability to balance competing and conflicting priorities
