Chandler Macleod is supporting our client in South West Victoria, who has numerous opportunities across varying departments of their Australian, family owned business. Our client values production of the highest quality meat and proudly oversees every stage of meat processing. They stand out within the industry by owning their own farms, factories, and distribution networks, and emulate the paddock to plate movement.
As a rendering plant operator, you would be responsible for operating equipment and control processes in the production of high quality/high value animal protein products and fat, successfully applying learned knowledge of processes and production methods. We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates who have prior experience in a rendering facility. The role requires demonstration of a high attention to detail and accuracy, whilst being able to work autonomously. Successful candidates will have basic computer operation & data input skills, and a good mechanical and equipment troubleshooting aptitude.
Prior experience in a rendering facility with HAARSLEV processing technology is preferred.
Prerequisites
- You must be reliable, physically fit, and willing to work as part of a team
- You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
- Are vaccinated against Q fever, or are willing to receive a Q fever vaccine
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed
