About the role
The position of Mechanic Workshop is responsible for the efficient and effective repair, servicing, and maintenance of the City's plant and equipment, including the care and maintenance of mechanical workshop tools and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of earthmoving/construction plant and heavy vehicles, and experience in implementing and monitoring procedures to coordinate commissioned works.

What's on offer?
- Salary Range 69K - 77K per annum + weekly tool allowance plus Superannuation
- Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Trade qualifications as Motor Mechanic.
- Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of earthmoving/construction plant and Heavy Vehicles.
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence.
- WHS Construction Induction Certificate (Whitecard)
- RTA vehicle inspection certificate.
Desirable
- Significant relevant experience as a Heavy Vehicle/Plant mechanic.
- Trade qualifications in Heavy/Commercial, Mobile Plant.
- Experience in welding and fabrication.
- Heavy Combination (HC) Drivers Licence or Heavy Rigid (HR) License.
- Forklift Operators license.
- Vehicle Loading Crane - VLC certification (Hiab crane ticket).
- Confined Spaces certification (valid training within 2 years).
