Qualifications:
- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter. An electrical trade or disconnect/reconnect electrical licence is an advantage.
Industry experience:
- Experience in the FMCG industry is preferred (Food or pharmaceutical experience is advantageous).
- Have the ability to weld and do minor TIG fabrication work.
- Fault finding/diagnostic skills in pneumatic and control circuits.
- Possess the capability to carry out planned and preventative maintenance on plant and process equipment.
- Work closely with operations personnel to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner.
- Experience working nights or rotating rosters.

A mechanical fitter who can
- Proactively identify & coordinate preventative maintenance across the site
- Be responsible for completion of planned maintenance tasks to ensure breakdowns are prioritised to meet production needs
- Provide technical support & training to machine operators for basic troubleshooting
- Provide detailed accounts of all work performed and logged in our CMMS (Mex)
- Support continuous improvement/project implementation
- Investigate plant or equipment deficiencies that lead to out-of-spec finished goods
- Assist with ensuring BRC, and other customer standards are met

- Mechanical Fitter Trade or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systems
- Repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromised
- Strong fault finding and RCA skills with a proven focus on right first time
- Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and interpret machinery manuals
- Effective communication skills in speaking with cross functional teams and writing work order reports.
- Knowledge of basic electrical systems and components is an advantage.
- Welding, turning, sheet metal fabrication qualifications and skills ae highly regarded
- Be flexible to work a twelve hour shift - Wednesday to Saturday 8 pm - 6 am, Thursday to Saturday 6 pm - 6 am.
- Ideally have automation experience, although not essential
- Australian mechanical fitter or fitter and turner trade qual preferred
- An employment history of working in a maintenance team as a mechanical fitter
- Electrical disconnect and reconnect licence is an advantage as is electrical aptitude.
- The ability to TIG weld is a must.

Pay: $130,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
