Job Objective:
The Carpenter constructs, erects, installs, renovates and repairs structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard and other materials, and cut, shape and fit timber parts to form structures and fittings.
Job Tasks and Duties:
· Site safety, plant and power tool safety;
· Study specifications in blueprint, sketches site conditions to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required;
· All procedures associated with 1st & 2nd Fixing;
· Manual lifting & handling;
· Cut timber & other materials with hand & power tools, nail & assemble cut & shaped parts;
· Erect framework;
· Assemble and fasten materials to make framework and props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue;
· Install structures and move into position;
· Erect scaffolding for assembling of structures;
· Construction of the forms including placement of required supports / propping, connection of shutters via z-bars, levelling of wall and induction of pour height;
· Explain and enforce Occupational Health and Safety requirements and other industrial safety matters;
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment;
· Instruct onsite personnel of lesser experience.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
