East Coast Apprenticeships is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bricklaying Apprentice.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and kickstart your journey towards becoming a skilled tradesperson.
As a Bricklayer Apprentice with ECA:
- you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of construction projects, including residential buildings, commercial structures, renovations, landscaping, and industrial developments.
- You will be working full-time, 38+ hours per week
- You may be entitled to a rostered day off each month

With the support of qualified tradespeople, you will:
- Learn the art of bricklaying by assisting experienced tradespeople in various construction projects.
- Assist in the preparation and cleaning of construction sites.
- Carry and handle bricks, mortar, and other construction materials.
- Assist with measuring and setting up the layout of buildings or structures.
- Mix and apply mortar to ensure proper bonding of bricks.
- Lay bricks and blocks according to specifications, patterns, and building codes.
- Conduct inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of completed work.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- A strong desire to pursue a career in bricklaying and the construction industry.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and follow established procedures.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Have good hand-eye coordination
- Comfortable working from heights
- Enjoy practical work
- Must hold a Construction White Card or able to obtain ASAP
- Have a Drivers Licence and reliable transport
