THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, the Training Superintendent - is responsible for providing training delivery and coordination to ensure staff have the necessary skills to deliver maximum performance. You will play a key role in leading the Site based Training Teams in delivering a contemporary , best practice developmental framework to support our great people. You will have a “hands on” approach to training and be able to deliver “fit for purpose” training processes and procedures to optimise the capabilities of our people.
This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 8:6, roster from Perth.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support, execute and review PLS Learning Framework and Management Systems.
- Understudy the Manager L&D and prepare to step up into that position as required.
- Provide exceptional leadership, mentoring, coaching and development of the site Supervisors and Trainer/ Assessors .
- Working with departmental leadership, assist in developing professional development and upskill plans for operators.
- Lead the development and execution of Process Plant contemporary learning environment.
- Provide technical advice and on-site support in competency-based training requirements.
- Build strong lasting relationships with site teams to ensure a forward-facing approach is adopted to training requirements in supporting capability development of the workforce.
- Lead, design and implement governance/ assurance practices and management of change procedures to control value outcomes across L&D.
- Work collaboratively with training and support teams to improve delivery and risk management across the Assett.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders in delivering learning programs.
- Provide recommendations on training programs to enhance production efficiency.
- Review training and compliance documentation ensuring all required outcomes are met.
- Directly support operations as required.
ABOUT YOU:
- Significant experience in Process Plant Operations is highly regarded
- Experience in leading high preforming teams.
- Experience in utilising a Learning Management Systems (Such as INX)
- Experience in financial acquittals and ability to interpret financials
- Passion for creating and engaging a supportive and inspiring culture
- Demonstrated commitment to achieve proactive training outcomes
- Formal training qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Training, Human Resources or Organisational Development.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, looking at innovation and challenging the status quo
- Forward thinking and proactive work ethic
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans
- Drive to continuously those around you.
