What’s on offer?
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Engineer (or suitably experienced Project Engineer), to join our Western Construction team delivering the RAAF Base Pearce Project, located in Bullsbrook, WA. The project includes significant upgrades to existing airfield asphalt pavements, concrete pavements, airfield ground lighting (AGL) and a new ALER Building.
The position is a Perth based opportunity where you will be responsible for the delivery of a significant subcontract package of works to upgrade the existing Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) system, ensuring the works are effectively co-ordinated with other project activities and are delivered in accordance with time, cost, and quality objectives.
As an experienced construction engineer. you will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in either Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering, and have demonstrated experience in the delivery of new electrical / communications utilities and working in proximity to existing services across mid to large scale civil projects, preferably with relevant experience at airfields/airports and on Defence projects. Any candidates with specific AGL experience will be highly regarded.
As an important senior construction delivery team member, you will:
- Lead by example and ensure appropriate systems and procedures are implemented to consistently produce high quality outcomes, meeting contractual specifications.
- Have well-developed communication skills and have the ability to build strong relationships and networks with key stakeholders.
- Excellent ability to understand and interpret project and client specific requirements.
- Lead and support project resources i.e. Quality Engineer, Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Subcontractors, to ensure project objectives are delivered
- Ensure junior engineers are trained up and competent with QA Management System - Civilpro and provide understanding of QA and lot management.
Naturally, you will also be a dedicated leader and mentor, one who priorities safety for all, and who will commit to high productivity whilst ensuring project scope is successfully met on time and within budget.
