Our client is a leading, national tier 2 commercial and residential construction company. With their whole finance team based in Canberra ACT, they are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers; preparing and analysing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping. You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health and success of the company.
- Managing all bank reconicliations
- Preparing BAS
- Account auditing
- Manage all subcontractor payments, claims & contracts including ensuring necessary insurances are valid prior to work commencement
- Overseeing sales and commissions, and fixed assets
- Data analysis
- Assist with reporting, business forecasting, budgeting and cash flow
- General journal & ledger management
About You
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Construction industry experience - knowledge of the built environment
- Tertiary qualifications required (CPA would also be a bonus!)
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively
Renumeration & Benefits
- Renumeration based on experience and negotiatable, up to $100,000 package
