An exciting opportunity has become available to lead the sales and business development function for several of their product lines across the Canberra region.
The Role
Within this role, you will proactively manage an existing client portfolio whilst growing the customer base across Canberra and surrounding areas. Targeting architects, builders, contractors and trades, you will market specialised product lines which are specific to industry needs, to drive new and ongoing business.
Working in partnership with the company's retail, trade and distribution networks, you'll ensure outstanding service is delivered to customers, promoting client satisfaction and retention.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, including lead development, prospect engagement and conversion. This will be managed through the company's CRM system, enabling you to seamlessly track and control your networking, sales activity and opportunities.
What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you will require the following:
- 2+ years' experience in sales/business development
- Proven success in driving new business within the building and construction sector, or similar
- Impactful communication and networking skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and leverage opportunities
- Computer literacy, with experience in using sales/CRM systems
- Self-motivated, proactive and organised
- Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills
