ABOUT THE POSITION ON OFFER The location will be Geelong, Vic [project site] The HSE Manager is accountable for advising and assisting the Project Manager in enhancing HSE performance throughout the entire project. You will support and maintain a safe and healthy workplace and adhere to company policies and applicable laws, regulations, and standards for the workplace. Main responsibilities include: - Co-ordinate investigation of all accidents, incidents, and defined near misses to ensure corrective actions address the “root cause” and ensure implementation of these actions. - Actively implement, review, and improve the Corporate HSSE management system. - Develop, promote, and implement a safe culture and programs for the business. - Review and provide recommendations for business systems requirements to relevant lines of business. - Assess safety in design requirements for all major projects. The successful candidate will require: - Diploma qualified in an Occupational Safety and Health related discipline. - Extensive experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management in the Construction/Infrastructure industry - Excellent knowledge of the OH&S, Environment and Workers Compensation legislation - Demonstrated capability to develop and implement safety management systems. - Thorough knowledge of AS 4801, ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000.
