Power the future of mining as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with Programmed!
Programmed is currently seeking skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join the onsite team with one of our major Pilbara clients in mining.
Responsible for maintaining and repairing various site machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. This role is on a FIFO basis with all flights, accommodation, meals, and PPE provided.
About the role
- Roster: Flexible rosters available, including dayshift and nightshift options.
- Location: Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) opportunities from various major cities.
- Start Date: Immediate starts available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Work autonomously, especially in breakdown situations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
What we're looking for
- Trade Certificate or Qualification in Automotive or Heavy Mechanical Field (Australian Recognised).
- Minimum of 3 years post-trade experience in heavy diesel maintenance.
- Experience with mobile equipment repairs, especially with various OEMs.
- Previous FIFO or site experience is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screens.
- Additional certifications like Forklift, Working at Heights, and EWP tickets are a plus.
