Our client, a prominent entity within the rail sector, is currently seeking a Site Manager for a contract position specialising in civils and structures. This dynamic role involves overseeing projects such as bridges, platforms, access points, temporary works, stations, and buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Managing and coordinating site activities relating to tunnelling, structural, geotechnical, civil, and bridge works
- Implementing health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Communicating effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Ensuring all works are carried out to the highest standards and in accordance with project specifications
- Preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress to senior management
- Providing technical guidance and support to site teams
Job Requirements:
- Experience in managing large-scale civil engineering projects within the rail sector
- Strong knowledge of tunnelling, structural, geotechnical, and bridge construction principles
- Understanding of civil engineering practices and standards
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
