We are currently seeking a talented Mid-Level Interior Designer to join a dynamic National Architecture & Interior design practice based in Canberra. Our client is a renowned firm known for its exceptional work-life balance, diverse project typologies, and friendly office culture. With a portfolio spanning commercial, mixed-use, residential & retail projects, our client offers an exciting opportunity for growth and creativity. Due to growth and upcoming works, we are now looking for a Mid-Level Interior Designer to play a pivotal role in the conceptualisation, design development, and project delivery phases of a range of typologies. Collaborating closely with the Director and Principal of Interiors, we are looking for someone to bring expertise in interior design, particularly someone who can work across all phases, with an eye for detailing and delivery phases.

Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the conceptualisation and development of interior design schemes on a range of typologies.
- Translate design concepts into detailed drawings, specifications, and presentations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and project cohesion.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews to gather feedback and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Produce accurate and comprehensive documentation, including plans, elevations, schedules, and material specifications.
- Oversee the implementation of design solutions during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform design decisions and enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on retail, hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, or workplace projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
- Current experience working across all phases, including joinery, detailing & documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and client meetings.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project deadlines.
- Current working rights in Australia and local experience is essential.
