Mission and Scope
Maritime Cross-Platform SPO (MCPSPO) delivers integrated cross-class sustainment services, expert advice and quality asset management through CN49 Cross-Platform Items of Supply for Maritime Capability, and CN61 Navy Sea Boat Capability Product Schedules. MCPSPO undertakes sophisticated requirements determination, engineering support, and supplier engagement, to buy and repair agreed inventory baseline items to meet predicted customer preparedness requirements.
As part of MCPSPO reform, the MCPSPO Engineering section will perform a governance and assurance role, including acting as the Commonwealth (CoA) Design Acceptance Representative (DAR) for engineering change. The Integrated Work Partner (IWP) will be responsible to deliver to the priorities governed by the MCPSPO.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
Undertake technical assessments to identify/validate alternate parts/equipment.
Interpret and conduct review of associated technical manuals.
Undertake codification actions for new parts.
Update/Review cataloguing data for existing or new parts introduced within the MILIS.
Update NLIS tools as required (NAVALLOW, MILIS etc.)
Develop and present accurate status reports to meet reporting requirements using specific tools and templates.
Develop technical reports in accordance with MCPSPO’s Below Management Level of Interest Process (BLIMP).
Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders on matters specific to the project.
Progress specific engineering and logistics tasks in accordance with the Engineering Management System.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Technical or Engineering qualifications
Completed MILIS Introduction Course
Completed Technical/logistics Assessor course
Completed SPO Inventory Controller course
Completed Introduction to Codification course
Completed MILIS Cataloguer course
Ability to update MILIS and raise tasks in MCCAT
Knowledge of NAVALLOW.
Demonstrated ability to interpret technical data supplied by the OEM.
Current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (minimum).
Ability to meet ITAR requirements.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar role within a Defence environment will be highly regarded
Knowledge of APLCRATES
