The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia’s highest-grade copper mine.
The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Graduate Mine Engineer to join our underground team. This role is perfect for a recent engineering graduate eager to apply their knowledge in a dynamic, hands-on environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to all aspects of underground mining, from mine design and planning to production and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and planning of underground mine workings.
- Conduct data analysis and report on mine production and safety metrics.
- Support the development and implementation of mine safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes.
- Participate in ongoing projects aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Knowledge of underground mining operations (desirable but not essential).
- Valid driver’s license.
