What’s on offer?
We are now on the look-out for an enthusiastic and committed Safety Coordinator to start their career journey in our Fulton Hogan Construction business. This role will provide you a rewarding opportunity on both a personal and professional level, where you can be inspired and learn from our skilled and experienced team members.
This position will be based in Narrabri, New South Wales supporting the Newell Highway Project where you will be assisting with the implementation and maintenance of various Health and Safety processes and initiatives whilst supporting the business in maintaining our Living Safely culture. You will work closely with various teams to learn key safety activities at an operational level.
On offer is also FIFO : 10 days on and 4 days off (Flights included) + Car + Uplifts.
Your Contribution:
- Learn and implement the requirements of the Fulton Hogan Safety Management System.
- Assist the safety team in the preparation of safety documentation that identifies and controls site risks.
- Assist our operational teams with site safety support and undertake safety tasks to achieve health and safety targets, manage critical risks and improve safety awareness.
- Assist the team to ensure our projects consistently operate in accordance with the legislative requirements, organisational goals, the Health and Safety Management Plan and respective Site Safety Plans.
- Participate in compliance and monitoring related activities, including: safety reporting, audits, inspections, observations, site walks, sub-contractor and plant inductions.
- Proactively engage in the amendment of site documentation in response to organisational changes, identified improvements, periodic review, and legislative changes.
Ideally you will have a high degree of enthusiasm and drive, with a strong desire to deliver positive outcomes as part of a team.
- Strong Digital & IT literacy, with relevant administrative experience.
- Good organisational and communication skills with the ability to develop, manage and maintain great relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Currently enrolled in an approved and relevant course, or willing to enrol in a relevant certification in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Driver’s licence.
- Desirable but not required, experience within the construction industry as a safety professional.
