With nearly 40 years of operating, our client have built a solid reputation across multiple sectors including Commercial, Educational, Health, Government, and Industrial projects, typically delivering projects ranging from $3 million to $15 million.
Role Summary:
With hybrid work between the Mt Waverley office and on-site, the Project Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and delivering construction projects. The initial project involves managing a $14 million build for a local council in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs. This project is easily accessible by public transport, located less than 20km from the CBD and within close proximity to the company’s head office. Following this project, there will be flexibility in project allocations based on both the company’s goals and the candidate’s experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from start to finish.
- Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to align project objectives.
- Lead project teams by providing direction, support, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Report regularly to senior management and clients, maintaining transparency and accountability.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial construction industry, preferably with a focus on Government projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Experience managing projects in the $10 million to $15 million range.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
