Tradestaff are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team for a start in September!
Requirements:- WOF Certification: Essential for performing Warrant of Fitness inspections.
- Relevant Experience: Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, including diagnostic and repair skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
- Full Class 1 License: Full New Zealand driver's licence.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:- WOF Inspections: Conducting Warrant of Fitness inspections in accordance with NZ regulations and safety standards.
- Diagnostics & Repairs: Diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on various types of vehicles.
- Customer Service: Communicating effectively with customers to explain issues, repair options, and provide recommendations.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Compliance: Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Upkeep: Keeping the workshop clean and organised, and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
