Tradestaff are seeking an experienced WOF Certified Diesel Mechanic to join us for a September start!
Requirements:- WOF Certification: Essential for performing Warrant of Fitness inspections.
- Experience: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, specifically working on diesel engines and trucks.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and related components.
- Tools: Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment for diesel engines.
- Licensing: Full New Zealand driver's licence.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:- Engine Diagnostics: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel engines in trucks.
- Repairs & Maintenance: Performing repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines and related components.
- Customer Service: Communicating effectively with customers to explain issues, repair options, and provide recommendations.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
- Compliance: Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Upkeep: Keeping the workshop clean and organised, and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
