The Role: Asset / Facilities Manager
Location: 50% of the time in Papua New Guinea, remaining time working in Brisbane office and / or other pacific countries based on business needs
Length of contract: Full-time / Permanent

Our client is specialized in multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural projects, offering a wide range of services in project management, design and engineering to support infrastructure projects. They operate in various APAC locations such as Australia, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea.
Scope
We are looking for an Asset Manager who will oversee all aspects of building functions, safety, operations and functionality of facilities across the Pacific.
Responsibilities
As the Asset Manager, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Development of asset management policies, asset management plan, investment strategies, and infrastructure development.
- Analysis of asset lifecycle stages from acquisition to disposal, including estimation of remaining useful life and replacement costs.
- Development of long-term asset management strategies aligned with organizational goals, including asset acquisition, upgrade, and disposal plans.
- Capital budgeting and planning for asset replacement, upgrades, and new acquisitions. Includes cost-benefit analysis and prioritization of capital projects.
- Identification and mitigation of risks associated with asset ownership and operation. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
- Managing and coordinating all facilities-related activities such as maintenance, repairs and renovations.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Supervising and collaborating with maintenance staff and external service providers.
- Monitoring facility budget and expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Conducting regular inspections to assess conditions of facilities and equipment.
- Responding and resolving facilities-related issues in a timely manner.
Your Background
To be successful for this role, you will have;
- Qualifications in Asset / Facilities Management, or related field, and at least 7 years relevant experience with reputable institutional organizations.
- Experience in Properties – commercial/residential – highly beneficial.
- CAAM Certified (Certified Associate in Asset Management) or willing to get one, client will reimburse after successful training and qualification.
- Able to set up and operate the IT system structure for facility management and property management
- Able to undertake business development to grow the business
