The Role:
As our new HSQE Coordinator, you will work with our team to ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, environmental, and risk standards across our projects organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting internal audits of sites to ensure HSQE compliance across projects.
- Facilitating inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
- Raising internal observations and non-conformances based on monitoring, auditing, incidents, or near misses.
- Responding to external audit observations and non-conformance issues.
- Implementing business improvement and corrective actions following defects, suggestions, and incidents.
- Managing staff training records and coordinating both internal and external training sessions.
- Coordinating HSQE meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
- Supporting toolbox and consultation meetings and providing feedback.
- Build upon our risk management systems, conduct risk assessments and develop SWMS.
- Assisting in the preparation and updating of company and project policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Communicate effectively and co-operate with all relevant industry stakeholders.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in WHS or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with project management and induction management platforms (Hammertech and Procore preferred).
- Full driver’s license (the role requires driving vehicles to various sites).
- Knowledge or experience in WHS requirements for high-risk construction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to build effective working relationships.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to provide sound advice.
