About the Opportunity: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Area Manager to take the lead in delivering out clients current Tier 1 Iron Ore project portfolio. This senior role is crucial for driving the growth of their portfolio while ensuring the successful execution of multiple projects.
As an Area Manager, you will be supported by a dedicated team of Project Managers (PMs), Project Engineers (PEs), and HSEQ resources, all aligned with the scope and volume of work.
Title: Area Manager - Earthworks
Location: Perth & Site based
Salary: $220,000 - $250,000 - depending on experience
Start: Happy to work with your notice period
Key Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for high-level portfolio management tasks including client engagement, business development, pipeline management, recruitment, procurement, budget oversight, HSE, onsite assets and claims management As well as:
- Portfolio Leadership: Oversee the complete portfolio, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to PMs, PEs, and HSEQ teams, ensuring all project goals and company standards are met.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, leveraging your extensive network within the Tier 1 Iron Ore community.
- Project Delivery: Ensure efficient management of earthworks projects, driving labour and equipment utilization while overseeing cost and schedule management.
- Business Development: Identify and capitalise on opportunities for portfolio growth, enhancing our presence within the sector.
- Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project progress, costs, and schedules to both internal teams and clients.
- Flexible Work Environment: Balance site-based responsibilities with office-based tasks, adapting to project requirements as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive Iron Ore Experience: Proven track record in managing large-scale earthworks projects within the Iron Ore environment.
- Strong Network: Well-established connections.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across multiple projects.
- Business Savvy: Strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work both on-site and in the office, depending on project needs.
