The Role:
As our new Site Manager, you will lead and manage tradesmen and subcontractors to oversee all construction activities on-site.
You will work closely with the Project Manager and engage with clients and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan
- Monitor progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other
- Manage and coach staff effectively, leading the team in achieving project and personal goals
- Oversee, coach and mentor the works of the Site Supervision team
- Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases
- Issue site instructions and other correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants
- Liaise with the Client and ensure a long-standing relationship is maintained
- Report to senior management on a regular basis and advise of any current or potential issues
About You:
- Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
- Current Senior First Aid
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- High level ability to read and interpret drawings
- Well-developed planning skills including industry knowledge regarding lead times for delivery and trade works
- Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams and individuals
- Knowledge of the work of construction trades and ability to assess the quality of workmanship
