73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
- Undertake a comprehensive, ongoing program of auditing the safety performance of gas installations and construction, to ensure safety requirements are maintained including compliance of work undertaken by gas fitting practitioners (certifiers).
- Undertake a comprehensive, ongoing program of auditing to ensure that gas installation operators, workers and contractors, comply with gas installation safety management systems.
- Investigate, report on and make recommendations regarding community complaints about safety in the gas industry.
- Monitor and record the safety compliance of gas consuming commodity goods.
- Research and report on gas safety issues and other related matters.
- Investigation of incidents and breaches of gas safety legislation and standards.
- Participation in community/industry education through presentation of relevant information on the safe use of gas. This may include trade nights, gas fitting information sessions, Tas Tafe training courses etc.
- Current Tasmanian Drivers Licence.
- Holder of, or demonstrated ability to obtain Occupational Licensing Act 2005 Practitioner’s Licence; Gas Certifier – NG and/or LPG
- Sound technical knowledge and experience in the downstream gas fuel industry.
