We are seeking a HSEQ Advisor to join our team.
This is a full time permanent position, based at our Brooklyn Office (with travel to our various metro and regional project sites).
About The Role
At Multiworks, we believe that great people are the cornerstone of a great business and know that our success depends on attracting, retaining, and developing the best talent in the industry. As we continue to expand, we are on the hunt for a HSEQ Advisor, reporting to the HSEQ Manager.
You will work alongside our project teams to proactively facilitate, implement and support the delivery of HSEQ policies and procedures across our business on a number of civil infrastructure projects.
The key areas of responsibility for this role will include (but not limited):
Provide HSEQ support and coaching to the business and project teams
- Display visible, proactive and practical safety leadership on/off site
- Developing and reviewing SWMS and Safe Work Instructions in line with legislative requirements
- Identifying Safety risks and Environmental impacts
- Conducting regular site inspections and reviews
- Incident reporting and investigations with implementation of corrective actions
- Reporting site safety performance in line with project OHS systems
- Conducting, when necessary, OHS inductions
- Overseeing, coordinating &/or delivering toolbox talks
- Coordinating/participating in workplace inspections
- Working with the HSEQ team on company-wide initiatives
- Assisting in the review/upkeep/maintenance of our third party accredited IMS system, and
- Importantly promoting health & safety across the sites/business
About You
This position would suit a candidate who possesses the following:
- Ideally 5+ years in a similar role
- Experience with safety teams, preferably in the construction industry or similar environment
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with people
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Sounds knowledge of HSEQ legislation
- Certificate IV or tertiary qualification in OH&S or equivalent
- Construction industry induction card (white card)
- Ability to travel to regional project sites
