Are you a master of craftsmanship seeking a change of scenery? Imagine working against the backdrop of azure waters and scenic white sands. We're searching for a talented carpenter to join our team on the stunning shores of Rottnest Island.
About the role:
Working autonomously or alongside a small, close-knit team, your days will be filled with a variety of tasks, ensuring no two days are ever the same. From repairing and replacing locks and doors to conducting essential repairs on island structures, your craftsmanship will be the backbone of maintaining the beauty and functionality of Rottnest Island.
This role is Monday - Sunday, departing from either Hillarys at 7:30am or Fremantle at 7am on a payrate of $49.33 p/hr (inclusive of 25% casual loading).
Responsibilities:
- Repair and replace locks and doors across diverse facilities
- Conduct repairs to buildings, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal
- General property maintenance to uphold the island's charm
- Grounds maintenance and landscaping to enhance the natural beauty
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
- Trade qualified carpenter
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- White card is desirable
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Experience in grounds maintenance and landscaping is a plus
- Rights to work within Australia
