- NDT Technician (or similar)
- Drafters or Designers
Multiple opportunities exist for each level of Structural Site Inspectors eg Engineers or Drafters/Designers seeking to undertake site inspection work. Work on a variety of ports, mines & heavy industry projects. With a mix of site and office-based work, you’ll use your structural experience to identify and help long-term clients manage the structural integrity, reliability and safety of major materials handling assets.
Typical structures include conveyors, transfer towers, surge bins, bridges, offshore/marine structures, shiploaders, stackers/reclaimers & dump stations. This is an opportunity to obtain a vast amount of practical experience across multiple sites and apply engineering solutions to interesting structural integrity problems.
About You
You must be fit, energetic and keen to be actively involved in inspection and engineering solutions for major materials handling structures. Depending on your experience level, the key prerequisites are:
- Diploma or Certificate in engineering or design/drafting
- Structural steel & concrete inspection experience
- Exp. (or desire) with hands on site inspection work
- Inspection exp. with heavy structures, & materials handling equipment
- Some exp in steel, concrete & materials handling equipment
- Well developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to safety
- Be physically fit, able to work at heights and confined spaces
- Reliable, punctual and conscientious
- A positive & proactive attitude to work with a strong work ethic
- Hold a current drivers licence
