Overview
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Planning & Implementation of a new transport / freight management system (TMS) across the Sadleirs transport businesses, replacing several legacy solutions.
Sadleirs is an Australian family-owned business, specialising in freight transportation, national and international logistics and 3PL warehousing. We work on a national road and rail network and focus on delivering great service to our customers.
About this Opportunity
You will collaborate closely with our vendor partners and internal teams to ensure a smooth and successful project implementation. Keep the project on track and within budget, while also managing any changes that may arise. Provide regular updates to the TMS Steering Committee, keeping them informed of progress, potential challenges, and our strategies for overcoming them.
Some of your Key Duties
- Develop and manage project schedules and scope, resource allocation, budgets and timelines
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and the TMS Steering Committee
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Identify and address issues to keep the project on track
Skills, licences & experience required for the position
- ‘Hands on’ approach and willingness to help others
- Management of contractual aspects of the project along with commercial acumen
- Be accessible and approachable by having a visible presence within the business
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication, negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of issue ownership and responsibility
Computing Software required and qualifications
- Microsoft Project
- PRINCE2 or PMBOK Certification
- Microsoft Visio
- Bachelor of Science, Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with Logistics systems would be beneficial
