About The Role
Due to continuing strong growth, we have a great opportunity for a Project Director to join our Adelaide team.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
- Control expenditure and revenue to maximise profitability.
- Reviewing and evaluating legislative changes and updating relevant documents.
- Obtain all necessary statutory approvals and permits prior to commencement of works.
- Administer and implement the Project Execution Plan, ensuring that all requirements of the Plan are implemented and that all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards which form part of the contract.
- Select subcontractors and suppliers based on an evaluation of their ability to meet the specified requirements including those for safety, quality and environmental and ensure compliance with same.
- Ensure that all subcontractors are advised of their obligations set out in the contractual documents, and that those obligations are met.
- Ensure that all personnel are inducted in their roles and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the Project Execution Plan and all attachments.
- Maintain effective relations with the Client throughout the project.
- Compilation of a comprehensive project close-out report at the completion of the project.
About you
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Construction and Economics Management or Civil Engineering) or relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of fifteen years’ experience in the commercial construction industry, projects greater than 40 mill, with a demonstrated success in delivering to financial targets, timeframes, planning and logistics management.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities translated into the achievement by staff of individual and team performance objectives and measurement targets.
- Competent in understanding and promoting HSEQ imperatives and MMS procedures.
- Competent in negotiation and client relationship building accompanied with a sound understanding of contract management and cost containment.
- Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues, looks for approach change and deploys sound problem solving methodology.
- Competent in use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
