Position Overview:
Sunshine Coast Airport is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager, Projects and Planning to join their executive management team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this pivotal role is responsible for the end-to-end building and delivery of key operational and commercial infrastructure projects, and planning for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property: Lead and develop new property precincts for a wide range of land uses to realise the airport’s growth vision and return on investment opportunities.
- Infrastructure: Lead and manage landside and airside infrastructure projects including the major expansion of the terminal commencing 2025.
- Strategic Planning & Management: Develop and manage master plans and strategic land use plans.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire the Projects and Planning team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Planning, Business, or Construction Management. Membership in relevant professional organisations is desirable.
- Experience: Extensive experience in leading project delivery teams, particularly in property and infrastructure development within built environments such as airports, ports, or major developments.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse and experienced team.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of project management, contract management, and relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
