We are looking for an HSSE Manager to join our KBR HSSE Team. Due to the national nature of the role, base location can be Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.
Summary:
Reporting into the national HSSE & Sustainability Director you will be responsible for managing and leading Health Safety, Security and Environment initiatives for Infrastructure Solutions Australia including Zero Harm initiatives nationally across our KBR state and project offices.
This role has a primary focus on the way we deliver field work and projects however will be an integrated member of our HSSE Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish strategy for improving the way we deliver projects and to continually develop our HSE culture.
Working with the project team and our clients you will develop and lead the implementation of the Zero Harm Initiatives.
Interface and negotiate with regulatory bodies, clients and contractors.
Incorporate health standards directed by regulatory agencies to prevent hazards and diseases from work sites.
Manage the delivery of KBR HSSE objectives by providing leadership and direction to the members of the project team including travel to project sites developing and leading HSE Workshops.
Monitor the implementation of HSSE program and initiatives across the business operations in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and deliver targeted improvement initiatives, strategy and capability frameworks.
Provide Project and Site work support and verification of KBR process implementation
Act as a lead investigator and auditor of the organisation
Skills & Experience Required:
Tertiary qualification in HSSE, minimum Diploma
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, within an engineering or construction environment
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HSSE Management including working with senior management delivering HSSE programs business wide.
Solid industry experience operating as part of a leadership team;
Drive, diplomacy, strong influencing skills & ability to multi-task;
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to interpret information to diverse audiences.
Ability to provide appropriate advice and coach management in difficult situations;
Ability to travel regularly interstate.
Due to KBR’s projects within defence, candidates must hold Permanent residency with the ability to obtain citizenship.
