The Role
This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic industry. Reporting to the Construction Estimating Team Leader, you will be responsible for all costing aspects of the business, evaluating projects and providing accurate estimates.
Other Key Responsibilities Include
- Assisting with the authorisation of sub-contract and supplier invoice ETO’s
- Action variations and communicate to relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Schedule all material and labour quantities accurately and efficiently through required software packages
- Review, provide feedback and assist with system improvements to create efficiencies
- Ensure file notes are well maintained and up to date using appropriate software
- Assisting with technical training and support to other staff as required
You
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Experience as a Scheduler and/or Estimator (not essential but advantageous)
- Understanding of construction methods
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team with a wide group of stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Effective problem-solving skills with an ability to influence individuals or groups to achieve better outcomes
- Practical approach with a drive to improve or exceed goals
