About The OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a
Superintendent to join our
Hunter Class Frigate program (HCFP) at our state of the art shipbuilding facility in Osborne, SA. The official title for this role is
Integrated Work Team Manager - Fabrications (IWT Manager).
As an
IWT Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of all Metal Fabrication activities within the allocated scope of the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) project at Osborne Naval Shipyard. The incumbent will ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, cost, and schedule governance to achieve program goals and deliverables.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, and mentorship to the IWT members and indirect leadership of a subset of the Production trade workforce (including sub-contractors) to safely construct the nominated HCF in accordance with program cost, schedule, and quality objectives
- Beresponsible for the de-confliction and delivery of all activities within the allocated area
- Monitor and track KPI's to assess progress, identify risks, provide suggestions for continuous improvements and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet project milestones
- Support the Phase Manager as required with regular reporting on cost or schedule variance, providing progress reports, status updates, and any other documentation required for project governance and reporting purposes
- Monitor & plan resources to ensure there is sufficient to meet the required completion schedule
About YOU
- Bachelor's degree in suitable Engineering or proven equivalent trade discipline or relevant experience
- Proven leadership of multi-functional teams providing de-confliction and delivery solutions in a complex operating environment preferably in structural steel or similar industries
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex program environment
- High level MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A background in shipbuilding or defence sector his highly desirable
- Project Management qualification is desirable
