Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Garage Door and Openers Installer Service Technician to join our energetic and supportive team. This hands-on role involves installing, servicing, and repairing various types of garage doors and openers. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, reliable, and customer service-oriented, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Above award wages and conditions, full time basis, overtime available, vehicle and tools provided, all work in Canberra region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install roller doors, sectional doors, tilt doors, and automatic door openers.
- Service and repair garage doors and openers.
- Perform basic steelwork fabrication and welding.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Maintain compliance with OH&S and other safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, representing the company's values and professionalism.
- Work both independently and as part of a team, solving problems on the go.
- Maintain accurate documentation of operational activities.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills and Requirements:
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to excellence, also a keen eye for detail and high-quality work standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience in installing and repairing garage doors and openers is preferred but not essential (training provided).
- ACT manual driver's license.
- Construction induction white card.
- Asbestos awareness card.
- Silica awareness card.
- Ability to lift and handle items weighing 20-35 kilograms.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Tech Savvy is a plus.
- Basic electronic knowledge is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Team player with a genuine desire to help others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certificate in construction, metal, or mechanical industries.
- Previous experience in a related industry such as building and construction.
- Understanding of construction principles and manufacturing processes.

- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:36pm. Overtime/On-Call Afterhours/Saturday work 1 week per month (12 per year) minimum.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
