Join one of the world's major players in the resources sector as a Contracts Officer to work on several projects currently underway to get your feet wet and build knowledge then take the opportunity jump on to a large scale project kicking off in 2025.
The Role Will Require But Not Be Limited To
- Effective contract management support including working with the Project team
- Prepare contractual correspondence and notices and assist in the preparation and submission of progress claims in compliance with contractual timeframes and requirements
- Operate and maintain commercial and contract systems including project costs reporting, registers and commercial databases
- Attend contract meetings as required and provide input into internal and external month end reporting requirements
- Maintain awareness of the programme, progress and contract completion obligations so that any obligations/changes in this regard can be managed in a timely manner
- Provide timely and accurate advice to Package Managers regarding contractual rights, obligations, and strategies to support compliance with subcontract conditions and inform decision-making.
- Assist in the assessment and management of subcontractor claims (variation, EOT etc.) from a contractual perspective, provide advice on claims management and assist in drafting of contractual correspondence in compliance with relevant subcontract provisions.
- Review and process claims for work completed and manage disputed claims in accordance with the relevant legislation.
- Assess commercial and contractual risks involved in the delivery and implementation of the project, and identify/implement controls
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator in the construction / mining industry
- Exposure to both head contract and subcontract administration
- Great time management and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills
- Someone who work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
