About the role
Based in our Subiaco head office, Altrad is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Proposals Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you'll take charge of our opportunity process, overseeing all aspects of expressions of interest, pre-qualifications, budget estimates, and formal tenders.
You will ensure that every submission meets our high standards of quality and timeliness, chairing proposal-related meetings and guiding our process from start to finish. Collaborating with departments like Commercial, HSEQ, and more, you'll craft compelling responses and coordinate bid teams with precision.
Your duties include:
- Take ownership of the opportunity process and maintain an overview of all expression of interest, pre-qualification, budget estimate and formal tenders.
- Ensure all submissions are issued as per deadlines and to a high-quality standard.
- Chair select proposal related meeting as required.
- Facilitate the transition of the opportunity Win Plan / Strategy from the Opportunity Owners and Business Development Managers to the formal Bid Plan.
- Ensure that the process for managing opportunities is followed including but not limited to Bid / No-bid, Kick-off Meetings, Storyboard, Approval Review Meetings and Cold Eye Reviews.
- Coordinate other assigned Proposal Coordinators.
- Facilitate the transition from Bid team to Operations upon award.
- Tender follow up, debrief, feedback from clients.
- Management of the various external tender portals e.g. ICN, ISNetworld, Ariba, Avetta etc.
- Input into the maintenance of company standard tender information including but not limited to, information sheets, project case studies, plan templates, etc.
About you
- 10 years’ experience managing the tender process for projects of all sizes within the oil and energy sector.
- Proven track record in project delivery.
- 5+ years’ experience leading and managing a team.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) membership is a plus but not required.
