They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team and lead their small finance team. As a key partner to operations, you will actively collaborate with them to drive performance and innovation.
Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, as the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in leading the finance function and supporting the business during a period of growth and expansion. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to provide strategic financial insights while managing the day-to-day accounting and finance operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, small business environment.
Other key responsibilities will include the following:
- Oversee all aspects of the financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making and drive growth
- Manage month-end and year-end processes including reconciliations and financial statement preparation
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax and audit preparation
- Business partnering with operations to ensure financial goals are met
- Support the development of the annual budget and long-term financial planning
- Lead and mentor a small finance team
The Successful Applicant
- CA/CPA qualified with previous experience working in a similar hands-on Financial Controller position within the manufacturing industry
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional operational teams
- Previous ERP experience and advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in small-to-medium-sized businesses is an advantage
