The Role
This is an interim role, working with the interim Chief Executive Officer and external consultant to optimise financial operations, review and implement best practices, ensuring long-term financial stability. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic input and direction into the planning and operations of the organisation.
- Review and optimise the current finance team, consisting of 3 people.
- Review and streamline the financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting systems for the organisation.
- Reporting & presenting major operational issues and performance results to the CEO & Board.
- Improving cash flow management and ensuring appropriate controls.
- Overseeing the development and update of all financial policies and procedures.
- Review SLA’s and contracts.
The candidate:
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified, with significant relevant experience and strong leadership skills, ideally in a high growth engineering/industrial services environment. You will possess a strong understanding of improving financial systems and processes, coupled with a keen commercial acumen. You are a self-starter with excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to effectively engage with non-finance stakeholders. You are happy to roll up your sleeves and be hands on, with an eye to adding value to stakeholders. This role requires an immediate start.
