Clarity Partners are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a large Engineering Consultancy in Perth. This role is pivotal in managing client relationships, overseeing contracts, and directing projects for our clients, along with engaging in business development activities.
The portfolio includes projects spanning design, construction, commissioning, and optimization for both brownfield and greenfield mining, materials handling, mineral processing, and port facilities. These projects cover a range of commodities, including iron ore, gold, salt, coal, and nickel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects by coordinating timelines, deliverables, and resources to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Prepare project schedules, execution plans, and quality plans to ensure seamless delivery and compliance with client requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering relationships based on trust and reliability.
- Understand client needs, objectives, and challenges, and collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Proactively anticipate client needs and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
- Conduct and attend regular client meetings, presentations, and site visits to maintain engagement and gather feedback.
- Develop, maintain, and report on Agreement KPIs, including organizing specific activities such as graduate programs and employee engagement workshops as required by the Agreements.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and target markets, collaborating with sales, project, and engineering teams to prepare proposals.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ), promoting zero harm and environmental sustainability in all projects.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to coworkers while maintaining accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and project status using CRM software.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- An Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualifications.
- Proven experience in project/account management, preferably in control system or electrical engineering projects.
- Experience in Australian mining projects/operations.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
- Attention to detail with proven experience in preparing professional client documentation, including tenders and proposals.
- A commercial focus with strong negotiation, communication skills, and judgment, along with a good working knowledge of contracts and the tender process.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Project Management/Enterprise software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Additional Skills/Experience
- 10+ years of experience in a project manager role.
- Control systems and/or electrical design experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the WA iron industry with Tier 1 clients.
