Job Description:
As a Senior Project Engineer with our client, you will support the tender and delivery of multiple projects, overseeing the technical management across various knowledge areas within the project management framework. You will manage the delivery of major portions of large, complex projects and/or entire low-risk projects. Your expertise will ensure that all aspects of the process are thoroughly understood and executed with precision.
We are seeking a candidate with proficient experience working in BESS and renewable energy projects as a focus for their career. Large Utility scale power projects with a focus on renewable energy will be viewed very highly.
Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 (inclusive of super)
Roster: Flexible; preferred roster is 5 in 2 with a 15% uplift and LAHA allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety, and Environment Management
- Actively identify and mitigate HSE risks.
- Lead pre-start and toolbox meetings.
- Contribute to developing and implementing HSE documentation.

Scope Management
- Assess and manage the project scope, ensuring alignment with strategies.
- Identify and resolve scope discrepancies.
- Provide technical support and manage scope change control.
Contracts Management
- Assess subcontract change and progress claims.
- Develop and review subcontract packages.
- Prepare and manage upstream and downstream CAPs.
Time Management
- Develop and update project schedules.
- Identify and implement time-saving strategies.
Quality Management
- Develop and maintain quality management documentation.
- Ensure adherence to relevant standards and specifications.
Risk and Opportunity Management
- Develop strategies for risk mitigation and opportunity exploitation.
- Lead project risk workshops and reviews.
Procurement Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies.
- Conduct vendor assessments and lead negotiations.
Cost Management
- Maintain progress tracking records and contribute to productivity assessments.
- Lead MCR updates and estimate project completion costs.
Project Integration Management
- Chair project meetings and guide record-keeping practices.
- Develop and manage the Project Management Plan (PMP).
Stakeholder and Communication Management
- Develop stakeholder and communications plans.
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
Human Resources
- Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues.
- Uphold the company’s values in all interactions and decisions.
Business Improvement
- Lead lessons learned workshops.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies.
