Job Description
Ultimately, the purpose of this role is to take ownership over the month end reporting process for the Group, working closely with the Financial Controller & CFO to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance.
Key duties include:
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Leading the month end close & supporting the team to reduce month end timelines while maintaining accuracy
- Leading the financial compliance matters for the group - including GST, FBT, Payroll Tax etc.
- Monitoring financial performance of the company and propose improvements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Participating in the annual audit process alongside the external auditors
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised Accounting qualification within Australia
- Experience working within a complex group function with complex consolidations & intercompany transactions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to proactively build relationships & communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business
- A business services background within public practice will be highly regarded
