About the Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Project Administrator to join our team in Bayswater, VIC. You’ll play a key role in supporting financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and month- and year-end closing activities. Your efforts will contribute to process optimization, simplification, and project financial performance improvements. You’ll be the central go-to person for various stakeholders, working closely with Business Unit Managers, Supply Chain, and Commercial colleagues across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor and customer onboarding in line with business timelines.
- Create purchase orders in SAP as directed by the Commercial Project Manager.
- Review month-end tasks, including invoice reconciliation and goods received validation using SAP.
- Monitor foreign currency cash flows on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Allocate costs to business cost centers during month-end close.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc tasks, collaborating with project teams.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets, ensuring data reconciliation and accuracy.
- Drive process improvement projects, working closely with internal stakeholders.
What You Bring:
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, multitasking mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data filtering, etc.).
- ERP systems experience, especially SAP, will be highly valued.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools like Power BI, VBA, or Macros is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly.
- A diploma in a commercial or finance-related field and 2-3 years of professional experience.
- A collaborative, energetic, and outgoing personality with a willingness to learn.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
