A Bit About The Role
Based out of our youth hubs in Western Melbourne, the Youth Activities Program Coordinator will design, coordinate, and lead employment and training programs for young people across key industries such as healthcare, warehousing, construction, and administration primarily hosted within our youth hubs. You will manage the full lifecycle of Certificate III courses, from referral through to graduation, ensuring a seamless experience for both students and education providers.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role! You will work closely with TAFEs, RTOs, our internal teams to deliver high quality training programs. A key responsibility is working with Recruitment Partners to align training with job opportunities, creating clear pathways to sustainable employment. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and a commitment to helping young people transition into the workforce.
Key Requirements
- Experience in Program Coordination: Proven experience designing, implementing and managing youth programs, especially those related to training and employment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with TAFEs, RTOs, employers, recruitment partners, and internal teams to ensure successful program delivery.
- Highly Organised and Admin-Focused: Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously. You efficiently handle the entire course process, from referrals through to graduation, while keeping all administrative tasks structured.
- Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to changing needs, think on your feet, and find creative solutions to challenges that may arise in program delivery.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with key sectors like healthcare, warehousing, construction, and administration, including understanding current employment trends and requirements in these fields
